Šárecké údolí – Exclusive place to live
Here we can trace historical roots reaching all the way to the distant prehistoric times before the arrival of the first Slavs, when the people from the Stone Age lived here. Several centuries later our ancestors came and built not far from here the Šárka fortified settlement, which according to some historians is the fabled Canburg, the first historically known settlement of the Czech Slavs. Starting in the fifteenth century, several mills were built on the Šárka Stream. One of them belonged to the ancestors of Josef Mysliveček, a famous composer and a close friend of W. A. Mozart. In the vicinity vineyards, settlements and a now legendary restaurant were built. Even the last century produced some unique features - not far from villas in the style called functionalist were built. Their architectural unity can only be rivalled by a few places in the world.
The location is rich not only in history, however. On our walks around the neighbourhood we can quickly forget that we are not so far from the centre of Prague. Just the mere view from the windows of your house will transport your thoughts far from the bustle of the city.
